What makes a founder a good founder?

    • I want to develop myself as a founder. Therefore, I am interested in what characteristics good founders have in your opinion, so that I can orientate myself and improve myself.

Passion for your idea and professional experience or special skills in the field in which you want to start your start-up might also be important characteristics of successful founders.

Two things stand out in my opinion: -The founder is willing to work extremely hard to push his idea forward -He gets things done and doesn't just talk about what could be done. So if he tells you today that he would like to talk to 10 people to validate his idea, he will have done so the next time you talk.

Michael Seibel (CEO of Y-Combinator) made a video about that: "What Makes The Top 10% Of Founders Different?". His answer is: 1. great founders execute (and learn from that - consistently) 2. formidability (they do what they say they are going to do - consistently) 3. clear communication (and get other people excited about what they do) 4. internal motivation (don’t get too discouraged when things go wrong) You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/ZtfTOuSHGg8
